Welcome to the Lollapalooza blog. This is the story of a little business run in the KZN Midlands from the small town of Howick. We are on the N3 (about an hour from Durban) and we have a really big waterfall (stop by sometime and have a look for yourself!)
Because Howick is something of a retirement village capital –this picturesque area holds vast stores of vintage treasures. We strive to seek out antiques, collectables and vintage “must haves” and offer them to our valued customers. For the past year we have sold largely on the bidorbuy website. My sister (Hannah) and I recently attended our very first I Heart Market in Durban and are hoping to attend this amazing market every month. Hellopretty is another stunning website where i will be adding our products soon. This blog is also intended to be a place where we offer our friends “first dibs” on our latest finds — so if you would like to keep up to date with what we are up to, please join our facebook page.
Apart anything else this blog is a place where I hope to share some of my own treasure-hunting adventures and the stories of the amazing pieces I come across every day.
PS: My name is Angela Webster, I am a 32 year old mother of two little boys and wife to James who is a piano restorer/ tuner. I am sure I will tell you all more about myself later on but I do not want to make the first post too boring! My wonderful father is a seasoned collector of all things vintage and he helps me to find all sorts of amazing things. My sister, Hannah, is the pretty face of the business (you will meet her if you come to the market). My brother, David, is the intelligent nerd who fixes all the technical website stuff for me. I also have another great brother, an awesome Mom, lovely sister-in-law and some cute nephews… yes we are a big family and (because Howick is such a lovely place) we all live here!
